BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A shooting at an outdoor gathering in Buffalo left a 3-year-old boy dead and his 7-year-old sister injured, police said Saturday.
The unidentified boy was struck by gunfire at about 9:30 p.m. Friday and later declared dead at a local hospital. The girl was grazed by the gunfire and was being treated at a separate hospital in the city, according to an emailed statement from the Buffalo Police Department.
Police did not immediately provide additional information about the incident. They planned to hold a news conference on the shooting later Saturday.
