"Euphoria" star and model Hunter Schafer was reportedly arrested Monday for joining a protest calling for a ceasefire amid the Israel-Hamas war.
A rally organized by Jewish Voice for Peace was held at 30 Rockefeller Center during President Joe Biden's appearance at "Late Night With Seth Meyers" where he discussed next steps with Israel, the upcoming election and more.
"We can confirm that Hunter Schafer attended the Jewish Voice for Peace disruption inside the 30 Rock lobby. … Hunter was arrested at the protest, along with 50 other people," a JVP spokesperson told USA TODAY Wednesday. "We commend her commitment to Palestinian freedom and to a future of justice for everyone."
A spokesperson for the NYPD's public information office told USA TODAY Wednesday that following a demonstration, which concluded around 6 p.m., "a total of 30 individuals were taken into custody" and were issued summonses for trespassing.
USA TODAY has reached out to reps for Schafer to comment.
Schafer was photographed being escorted by an NYPD officer as her hands appeared restrained behind her back.
In a post shared by JVP on Instagram Tuesday, the 25-year-old model could be seen wearing a T-shirt that stated, "ceasefire now" and holding up a sign that read, "The whole world is watching."
"Hundreds of anti-Zionist Jews and allies just took over NBC’s famed 30 Rockefeller Center headquarters in NYC to disrupt President Biden's appearance on @LateNightSeth. Biden's deadly foreign policy has funded and fueled genocide in Gaza," the activist organization captioned the post.
They added that Biden "needs to start listening to the American people – not the far-Right Israeli government indiscriminately bombing the people of Gaza, destroying 70% of infrastructure, including hospitals, universities and the electricity and water grids."
"Our Jewish tradition teaches us that life is precious. As Jewish New Yorkers we are absolutely outraged that President Biden is actively supporting a genocide against the Palestinians of Gaza," said Jay Saper of JVP in a statement shared to USA TODAY.
On Monday's episode of "Late Night," Biden said the Israeli government has agreed to "not engage in activities during Ramadan," which is the holiest month of the year in the Islamic calendar, in the hopes that it would give the U.S. government "time to get all the hostages out" of Palestinian occupied Gaza.

Biden discussed the historical significance of Israel for Jewish people, while also acknowledging waning support if the country continues its actions in Gaza.
"Israel has had the overwhelming support of the vast majority of nations. If it keeps this up without this incredibly conservative government they have ... they're going to lose support from around the world," he said. "And that is not in Israel's interest."
